Our Story
2006
The Founding
Our operations quickly expanded with the acquisition of TCPNS Inc, a small business supporting Army tactical customers at Ft. Monmouth, NJ and the Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. We provided highly skilled technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout Afghanistan and other countries in the CENTCOM AOR.

2009
The Acquisition
We began supporting DISA’s Global Gateway Service Desk and providing Operations Gateway Support with our acquisition of SynExi, a small business in the federal space providing support to DISA and the Navy.
Trace also expanded their in theater presence in Southwest Asia to include additional network technician and HBSS support, which prepared us for significant growth with the Joint NETOPS Control Center – Afghanistan (JNCC-A), Task Force 236, Task Force Protector, and USMC at Camp Leatherneck.
2013
The Expansion
By 2013, Trace had expanded operations with formative programs in Afghanistan supporting the JNCC-A, CJOA-A, USFOR-A, and CONUS providing extensive network engineering and other support services to DISA’s Multinational Information System (MNIS), the predecessor Mission Partner Environment (MPE) organization. Trace advanced into new C2, Communications, and Cyber environments with the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and multiple CCMDs.
We won DISA’s Defense Tactical Communication Systems (DTCS) single-award IDIQ to support Iridium services throughout the CENTCOM AOR, and both Restricted and Unrestricted awards on Army PEO C3T’s Global Tactical Advanced Communications System (GTACTS) IDIQ, where we became the most awarded contractor through the life of the vehicle.

2015
The Transformation
In December 2015, to better enable our growing support with CENTCOM, SOCOM, and JCSE, Trace opened a new office in Tampa, Florida. This approach transformed the way Trace operated, making us more agile, efficient, and inventive.
The new space would quickly evolve to include a state-of-the-art Engineering and Integration Facility, as well as a 24 x 7 x 365 Network and Operations Control Center. Trace adapted their business approach to spread into new customer bases and technological capabilities, which spurred a massive innovation expansion.
We continued our growth and expansion by winning more GTACS task orders than any other large or small contractor. Through Foreign Military Sales (FMS), we provided line of sight (LOS) infrastructure upgrades for the Colombian Military and satellite systems and services for the Iraq Ministry of Defense (MoD).
2019
The Evolution
By 2019, significant contract wins changed Trace’s focus and vision. We were awarded the DISA contract to provide Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Internet Cafes for deployed US forces globally via commercial SATCOM and terrestrial circuits, establishing more than 165 terminals in 16 countries on 3 continents. We began developing and fielding leading-edge hyperconverged technology to support the US DoD in establishing its Mission Partner Environment (MPE).
We doubled capacity and facility space at both our Tampa and Northern Virginia Headquarters locations. The new, modern spaces meet the expanding technological and service requirements of our customers.

2022+
The Future
By the beginning of 2020, Trace had expanded global operations into over 50 countries on 6 continents.
As we continue to expand our presence, both globally and at home, we strive to find people with the same dedication to the mission and desire for a vibrant environment to work.
Our technical expertise has also continued to grow as we constantly look for new challenges, new efficiencies, and new innovations.
