Trace Systems Inc. is proud to have sponsored the Army Support Group – Afghanistan (ASG-A) Patriot Day 5K, a virtual run and walk, which was held on 11 September 2020 across the Afghanistan area of responsibility (AOR). Close to 1,000 military, government, and contractor participants at 8 locations around the country used a running and walking app on their mobile device, as well as taking photos of their times and distances, to safely partake in the event.
ASG-A in conjunction with the Army Materiel Command (AMC), Installation Management Command (IMCOM), and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) organizations worked together to organize and hold the race. Top Male and Female overall, as well as in under 30, 31-40, and over 50 received awards for their accomplishments, and the first 700 registrants received a free event t-shirt.
“Congratulations to all of the runners who placed in the ASG-A Patriot Day 5K on the anniversary of 9/11,” said Greg Filak, Vice President of Enterprise and Communications Solutions at Trace. “Yours and everyone’s participation in this virtual event proves that no matter the circumstances, America’s armed forces are always ready to face the challenges of our times.”
Trace Systems, a leading provider of IT and communications solutions and services in the Afghanistan AOR, provided the event t-shirts and promotional materials as a supporter and sponsor. From the Trace Systems team, thank you to all that participated and congratulations to top placers in all age groups!
